Ep.30: How to Push Past the Myth of Overnight Success
Monday Dec 14, 2020
Monday Dec 14, 2020
It's frustrating to hear how someone has become an overnight success and "suddenly" hit the jackpot in whatever their chosen field is. Hearing about these stories of "overnight success" can be disheartening because it makes you wonder what you're doing wrong. Why you aren't as successful as they are. Or it makes you think that succeeding in that field must be easy because that person seemed to be successful without any effort.
It can make you want to quit working toward your goals.
It can make you feel down in the dumps.
And it's a total myth!
It today's solo episode, I'm going to debunk the myth of overnight success. We'll talk about why it's bullshit and also how to mentally deal with hearing stories of other's sudden successes without feeling inadequate or quitting your dream.
At the end of this episode, I'm trying something new and have added a guided meditation on goal visualization. It's just a short meditation at the end of the episode. If you like it, you might check out the guided meditation on how to kick your fears to the curb at my Ko-Fi page! For the price of a cup of coffee, you can download the longer meditation on kicking your fears to the curb and listen to it whenever you want.
